Details
The source dataset contains population on 1 January by age group, sex, and NUTS 3 region. This object is a modified version of the Eurostat dataset: unknown-age population counts are redistributed proportionally across known age groups within each year, region, and sex, rows with missing population values are removed, and the object is truncated to the latest available year.
The data set consists of a tibble with the following columns:
year: The calendar year of the population count.region: The NUTS 3 region identifier.age_group: The age group.sex: The sex.population: The population count.
